oh, the comfort of sometimes being alone...

I have a great deal of company in the house, especially in the morning when nobody calls.

Oh, Christine, I would love to be sitting there . . . quiet time is so precious and so necessary for the soul. I can just imagine you sitting there with a glass of lemonade or cup of tea taking in the the beauty of your land. The comfort of a good book or maybe a journal to record precious thoughts while you just 'sit' and 'be'.

Thank you for taking me there . . .

Love, Laura

oh dear Laura,

oh how I would love to have you here!
I must confess, my dear friend, that this isn't my porch...
it belongs to our dear Tasha and this is her empty chair...of course, you can see it now...the pretty checked cloth, the flowers and the watercolors with the wildflowers for inspiration.

but I do have my thinking places around our farm, the hills behind us and along the canal where little animals live...and my garden.

I am not one to spend alot of time out and about, spending time alone is as necessary as air for me...reading a good book and writing in my sketch book-journal.

Love,C

Oh man, what I wouldn't do for some quiet. I love my little kids, but they are using up the sunshine for all it's worth these days, and that means there isn't many places outside that are quiet or alone.

very lovely! I need a little corner just like that. although it would be all brown and dead in this heat ;) I love Thoreau. He's one of my very favorites. And this scene looks very Tasha. I'm thinking August is the appropriate month to bring back Tasha Tuesdays....
