take your needle, my child...

antique wool challis shawl & my dear leaping stag pin keep by sherry hunt

Take your needle, my child, and work at your pattern...
it will come out a rose by and by.
Life is like that . . . one stitch at a time,
taken patiently.

Oh, Christe' - what a beautiful thing to read on this early morning with questions in my heart. Sometimes I do wonder what I'm working on. :-) Happy Thursday -

Absolutely breathtaking. And you know what kind of an admirer I am for anything that draped a lass from the past and kept warm her ivory, velvetsoft shoulders.
Enjoy your weekend my friend.

How beautiful Christine...these words takes me back...to somewhere of gentler times...of girls learning to stitch in their early years!!! Blessings to you...Dzintra XX

thank you dear ladyes.
I love that old quote,too.

My favorite quotes always seem to have something to do with hand work or gardens...and most often they seem to give a gentle nod to a calm and serene outlook and sense.

in answer to "ardent"~ oh, yes I stitch on my dolls nearly everyday here and as soon as I am finished with what has been spoken for, I will most definitely have dollies to offer again~ thank you for writing and asking...and I will of course be letting all of you know when.
Have a most lovely day,
Christine
