early morning star light

this is my wonderful old star light
shining from my little doll making house windows.
it always makes me smile...if I'm up letting Bella out or looking out at the moon,
I love to look out from our old farm house windows to the doll house and think
that the dolls are up to their usual late night frolics and dancing on the tables, trying on this and that, chattering away of new gowns and slippers.
Perhaps they carefully look through my piles of books and point out bonnets and pockets, little slippers and panniers to one another...
or maybe...just maybe they stay asleep snug in their little doll beds and wait til morning
while the star light shines from their windows...
I have, once in awhile, quietly crept out to the little doll house in the night and peeked into the windows...
...what do you think they might be doing?

What a lovely post, as are all of them from your winsome farmhouse!! I love all the images brought to mind....frolicking, laughing, chattering, and of course, dreaming.... of their good fortune to be in such a wonderful place!! I'm sure if I peaked in the window I would see smiles of contentment on their sleeping faces!!

Blessings~~
Julie

oh, it is beautiful and what a lovely thought! I'm sure the dolls are very busy girls by the light of the star. You have such a beautiful home!~

Christe',

How I love your tales, especially about the laydes. I have been looking at the moon these frigid nights which makes the snow covered landscape quite beautiful.Of course, I think of you looking too! I would bet to say the laydes are twirling about by the star light and Miss Lydia sweeping the blush brush across all their cheeks!
Hugs...Barbara

Good morning Christine. I loved your post, it's lovely and creative as always, but I have to say, I just adore dolls and my heart is happy when I know others love them too.
The sun is rising here, the woodstove is going and it's just a beautiful morning. You have given me a great beginning to another day.
I have missed your posts.

Sweet--I always smile when I think of the dollies. I shouldn't wonder if perhaps Lydia was up to her usual tricks and reading questionable novels.

I know they are discussing Mr. Jefferson......

I have not seen a new post since January. I hope it is just because my computer is so feeble.
