he that is of merry heart
hath a continual feast.

I have much more I want to share with you all today, but for now I'm off to
the city with my sweetheart to visit the lumber man, gather up paint swatches and
look for antique lighting fixtures.
Then off to the greenhouse & nursery to buy a thyme topiary for my kitchen.
....dinner at the old Pine Tavern down by the Deschutes River.
This is the most delicious way to spend the day that I can imagine for myself.
I hope this day finds you all doing something that you love, doing something delicious
and hopefully with your sweetheart and those you love.
keeping a merry heart...
and maybe a little chocolate in there somewhere, too.
a happy Valentines day to you all,
with love,
Christine

Yes, dear friend that does sound like a delicious day... Made Kirstie some heart shaped toast for breakfast as the boys in the family were away in the morning!!! Pretty quiet day and then the boys arrived home with handmade chocolates and beautiful roses for Kirstie and I...Lovely roast pork dinner all together at the table to end the day..... love to you C xx
I hope you enjoyed your day filled with shopping and the promise of some building... but most of all accompanied by your sweetie.

dear friends,
thank you for all your lovely comments! I love this time of year. Doesn't it seem as though Valentines Day is the end of winter and beginning of spring? Making repairs and adding fresh twigs to my little nest and having a bit of chocolate while contemplating what should come next.
I hope that your day is a pretty one filled with flowers and much love.

Dearest Christine...what a wonderful day to spend with your sweetheart...and of course with some chocolate...as if Valentines Day can go without it...Love Dzintra
It sounded like a perfect day, ma! I always feel like February is so full of promise for Spring, too...of course this morning with 6 inches of snow doesn't feel like spring, but the tulips on my coffee table tell me different. Thanks for sharing - very pretty picture!
Sounds heavenly! Your posts are always so sweet and beautiful~
good morning dear ladyes,
I hope your Valentine's Day was lovely.
We had a really nice day out, but did not buy a thing.
I love to window shop and then see what I already have that can be used in a new way.
that's fun for me.
thanks so much everyone for commenting and sharing your hearts here.

Oh you tease us so with that delicate lace bodice dappled by the early morning sun.
It beckons like the promise of Spring and the revealing of more of this lovely creature.
Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
