I had that lovely, inspiering Tasha-Tudor-Garden-book...

When my ex-husband was in Japan, several years ago, (I am Swedish) he met an old lady there on the countryside that also had and enjoyed that gorgeous book. The old lady and I became a little bit friends, through letters - although we didn´t speak eachothers language - because we both liked Tasha.

The other day I lent my Tasha Tudor Garden book to a friend of mine, who is a writer/journalist who has written much about gardens. We are discussing making a book together - a garden book...

I hope Tacha is HAPPY now!!! She was an inspiration!

On these rainy cool days of late, the smell of woodsmoke has kept my thoughts so much on Tasha and hopes that she has found her time and settled into it. I trust you still have your issues of her Take Joy magazine which I gave to you so happily, for Tasha's magazine was dear ~ and certainly assisted us as you and I together ruminated on her incredibly artful life.

really, it was a dream to visit Tasha and I'm so very glad that we did...
if you've ever read any of the wonderful books about her life & home, I must tell you that it was Exactly like stepping into those wonderful pictures...only more so with the scents, the sounds and the reality of actually standing there by her gate.
The deep blue lupine meadow was in bloom, wood smoke in the air and the sound of content sheep down in the pasture.
If you have a dream to do something, do it.
This experience stirred my soul.

Good morning my friend. I do remember you telling me about your visit with Tasha. I was so happy for you to have that experience. It must have been wonderful. I didn't know that you went with Gayle, or maybe I did, but at the time I didn't know her. Now I do, which reminds me, I must write her today, it's been way too long.

I followed Tasha Tudor here in Denmark as well, -only through the books written upon her life, and the beautifull artickles in Victoria Magazine,and she truly made a big impression on me.What a fantastic life she have lived, I hope too she is happy back where she wants to be.

'Tis wonderful what one remembers about a person.
I had the privilege of viewing some of Tasha's costume collection at Williamsburg and it is that passion for history that I will savor from all the gracious things that she bestowed upon us.
May she have passed from this Earth and returned to the early 1800's like she wished.
